Device Contact Access

If you choose to use the contact picker feature, GentBet may access names, email addresses, and phone numbers from your device contacts. This data is used solely to populate the contact form within the app. Your device contacts are not uploaded, stored on our servers, or shared with any third party.

Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications to alert you about new bets, bet updates, and messages from opponents. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications, which requires storing a device token associated with your account.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve our services
Create and manage your account
Facilitate bet tracking between you and your contacts
Send you push notifications about bet activity
Send you technical notices and support messages

Third-Party Services

GentBet uses the following third-party services:

Google Firebase — for authentication, data storage, push notifications, and hosting. Firebase may collect basic diagnostic and performance data. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
Resend — for sending invitation emails. Only the recipient's email address is shared with Resend for the purpose of email delivery.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, including Firestore security rules that restrict data access to authorized users only.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Bet information is only shared with the specific opponents you designate within the app. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Age Requirement

GentBet is intended for users 18 years of age or older only. Date of birth is collected during signup and verified to enforce this requirement. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, please contact us at support@gentbet.app so we can remove their account.
