GentBet is a simple app for tracking friendly wagers with your friends. Whether it's a $20 bet on the big game or just bragging rights over who's right, this app helps you keep score, settle disputes fairly, and never forget who owes whom. No money changes hands through the app - it's just a fun way to keep everyone honest.
Tap "Create Bet" from the menu, or use the "+" button on the Current Bets screen. Pick an opponent from your contacts, describe the bet, set the stakes, and tap Create Bet.
Money bets track a dollar amount. Gentleman's bets are for bragging rights or custom stakes like dinner, chores, etc. No money is processed through the app.
Go to Contacts and tap the + button. Enter their email and a nickname. On iOS, you can also import from your phone contacts.
Just add them as a contact — an invitation is sent automatically. You can also re-send invites from the Contacts screen.
Open an active bet and tap "I Won" or "I Lost." Both parties must submit claims. If they match, the bet resolves automatically.
The bet is marked "Disputed." Discuss with your opponent, then either party can reset their claim to try again.
Tap the menu and go to Past Bets. You can filter by wins or losses. All resolved bets are saved here so you can review your history.
After a bet resolves, the loser marks "I Paid" and the winner confirms with "Payment Received." This updates your balance. No actual payments are handled through this app — it's just for personal notekeeping and tracking.
Tags let you categorize bets (NBA, NFL, Politics, etc.). Add them when creating a bet or from Bet Details. Use the Tags filter to find specific bets.
Enable notifications in Account settings. You'll get alerts when someone comments on your bet, accepts a bet, or makes a claim.
Go to Account and tap "Deactivate Account" at the bottom. This disables your login and hides your data. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@gentbet.app.
